I also stripped out the armrest phone cradle and replaced it with an insert from another car, a lot more space in there now as it was useless beforehand.Ive been thinking about going up to the 2015 maps, but apparently to do this I need to also do the firmware update.I work in IT, and when firmware is released it normally includes a change list.I cant seem to find one for any of the audi firmwares that are available.
Does anyone have this, or, if not, a kinda list of changes that are thjere. Apart from the maps, is there actually any new features in it any point not sure what firmware version I currently have, but it runs 2014 maps. The only change Ive found so far is that Im no longer able to view the MPH figure on the DIS whilst navigation is active. Audi Navi Mmi 2G 3G Neu 2019 Download Ive JustYou got a link to the maps download Ive just done 2015 maps without doing a firmware upgrade, but Id be fair happy to do it. Cheers. There is one thing. I have one fault for documentation on that update. Off topic but Im always amazed that nav is a must have for some people. Audi Navi Mmi 2G 3G Neu 2019 Plus Live TrafficI pay 14.99 a year for TomTom on my phone and that includes 4 map updates a year plus live traffic. Plus having tried the other systems the TomTom traffic is usually the most accurate. I did explain this all to the sales guy when I bought my car and seemed baffled why I didnt want to spend 1200 on nav. I am hoping the new RS4 has phone box so I can get rid of the charging cable for that super clean and tidy look. The arm rest on mine had the phone connector in for really old phones. Having Tom Tom wires hanging all over the place and a tiny screen stuck to my window would make me feel like I was back in 1999. Audi Navi Mmi 2G 3G Neu 2019 Code Which IsPersonally I think the Tomtom is better at mapping mainly due to 7 digit post code which is now fixed to be fair but from a convenience factor built in wins it for me especially as the battery in the Tomtom is dead and has to be plugged in at all times. Although I use Google account and never manually input a location. I Google destination, find in Google maps and right click and send to car, this means the destination is with 10 meters of location and not a general location based on the area of a post code. I have an up to date Tomtom that I use for when I might need a satnav, just down at the centre console though.
